In this webinar, we are going to learn a quick way to practice your thread sketching/free motion skills. As well, we are going to be adding a little bit of color by way of Inktense pencils, fabric paint, fabric markers, or any other way you want to add color to your piece.
What you will need is a photo of a small single focus image. A tree, a flower, a mountain. Something that is fairly simple. I’ll show you how I take that and make it into a template for both painting and stitching.
Then off we go. You’ll also need some white fabric batting and backing (just a fat quarter of each is more than enough for 4 mug rugs), some black thread, your favorite fabric coloring medium and a sewing machine set for free motion. I’ll have a supply list for you to look at and copy at the webinar.
