Colorwork Class (Knitting) with Nell Kirchhoff
January 20 @ 1:00 pm MST - 4:00 pm MST
$40.00Interested in taking your knitting skills to the next level?
For knitters who haven’t quite found their groove yet with colorwork, we have a class for you! Nell Kirchhoff will be sharing her tips and tricks for navigating colorwork’s knitmares. The class will include support with pattern reading, choosing colors, yarn management, weaving in ends as you go, and how to find the sweet spot with your gauge.
This short, yet sweet, class will focus in on working through the colorwork section of the pattern. Once you sign up you will be given access to the pattern. Then, you can cast on and prep the ribbing. At class, we can jump right into adding in a second color together!
You’re welcome to use up some fingering weight yarn from your stash OR we highly recommend the luxurious yarn of local hand-dyer Meadow Coldon of Spindrift Fiber Botique. A discount code will also be made available to your after you sign up.
*NOT A CLASS FOR BEGINNERS LOOKING TO LEARN THE BASICS OF KNITTING*
BEGINNER CLASS OPTIONS: If you are interested in learning the basics, Kayla offers free beginner knitting lessons (and Josef Mayfield teaches beginner crochet!) at the Ouray Library from 5pm-6pm on the first Friday of every month. You are also welcome to join us at Dragonfly Creative’s Threadhead Thursdays from 4pm-7pm for a free consultation to get you started!
*Please note that we need a minimum number of 3 students signed up by Wednesday, January 17th to run the class.
